Commercializing a survey tool used to collect high-quality data from children, teens, and adults

Project overview

3C Institute’s Quest is an easy to use survey tool built by researchers, for researchers to capture high-quality data from adults, teen, and children as young as 5.

The purpose of this effort was to market the platform to audiences who could benefit from this tool in their own research.

My role

My objectives for this project included:

  • Create a style guide for the Quest platform using a previously designed logo
  • Design and build the marketing WordPress website
  • Create supplementary visuals for use on the website and other marketing materials, such as white papers, press releases, flyers, and email correspondence.
  • Produce an overview video for the Quest platform.

Visual identity

Logo and styleguide

The Quest logo has gone through a few iterations prior to the commercialization effort. For commercialization, the team wanted to keep the foundation of the logo, but modify it to appeal to an audience of researchers, rather than a younger audience the original logos tended towards.

Website design

Marketing website

After being provided with copy for the website, I lead the effort to develop mockups for the public facing site. I worked with the team to refine the mockups and moved onto building the website using WordPress and Elementor.

Website visuals

I created several visuals for the website along with short animated gifs to showcase Quest’s features.

Login page

The Quest platform also needed a login page design which I provided to the development team.

Marketing materials

Video overview

The team wanted to showcase a video overview walking potential customers through the Quest platform. For this effort I worked with the team to plan out the visuals for the script and gather screen capture of content from the Quest platform to display in the video.

I led the filming, video/audio production, and motion graphics for the overview video.
