Creating a resource library for supporting youth and military families.

Project overview

3C Institute’s partnered with Georgetown University Thrive Center for Children, Families, and Communities to create an online resource center to connect youth and families with mental health support. Working with researchers and practitioners, we created a library of video content that included presentations by experts and research-based scripted animations.

My role

I led the effort for the animated videos on this project, my process for this included:
  • Working with the Georgetown team to plan out the visuals from their provided scripts
  • Storyboarding the scripts and working with the team to refine
  • Booking voice actors for the animation narration
  • Animating characters and other motion graphics
  • Collecting and implementing musical scores and other sound effects

I also designed the intro screen for the expert presentations that were then implemented by the 3C team to create that collection of videos.

Development process

Style tests

Each animation had a specific target audience ranging from 9-13, 14-17, 18-21, and All Ages. I approached each animation with a different visual identity based on the age group and subject matter of the video.
